Your home, without
reaching for your phone.

Switch the house to Night with a sleeping child in your arms. Read a calm summary in the middle of a meeting. Feel one firm tap when something needs you, and nothing when it does not. This is the jupyter app for Apple Watch.

Some moments are not phone moments. Hands full of shopping at the door. A meeting that has run long. A sleeping toddler carried up the stairs. Your security still needs a word from you, or has one for you, and the phone is the wrong thing to be digging for.

That is what the jupyter Watch app is for. It does not try to be a smaller phone. It carries the handful of things you actually need in those moments: what happened, what mode the house is in, and the power to change it. Everything else, the live video and the event clips, stays on your phone where there is room to look properly.

A glance

Know the house is calm without taking your phone out.

The alerts your phone receives reach your wrist too: a face it knows by name, a parcel at the door, someone lingering, a sound worth hearing about. And when nothing happened, a short summary says so, in plain words.

The day’s summary, on your wrist.

Wednesday · 2:15 pm · a long meeting

The meeting has run over, and the kids get home at three thirty. Taking your phone out would be rude, and not knowing would nag at you for the next hour.

What jupyter does. One glance at your wrist and the summary tells you the day has been calm. When the kids are recognised at the door, that alert reaches your wrist too, so you know they are home, and the meeting goes on undisturbed.

A tap

Change the house’s mode with one tap, wherever you are.

Your phone's geofence is what normally arms the house as the last person leaves, and the household Keyfob is a second signal alongside it. The watch is for the times you want to say it yourself: Away at the school gate, Night on the way to bed, Home as you walk up the path. It works through the SecureProtect app on your iPhone, so it is the same system and the same modes, on your wrist.

From Home to Away, with a tap.

Monday · 8:12 am · the school run

Three children, two bags, one forgotten lunchbox. You are halfway down the street, and you would rather know the house is armed than trust that it will be.

What jupyter does. Before you pull out of the driveway, tap Away on your watch, and it is done now rather than when the geofence decides the last of you has gone. Nobody has to pull over, and nobody has to turn back.

Your Halos

Leave a home that sounds lived in, from your wrist.

Swipe to see each Halo and the mode it is in. Before you leave, start the sounds of a lived-in home, such as appliances or a dog barking, straight from the watch.

Your Halos, and the mode each one is in.

Friday · 11:40 pm · the stairs

You are carrying a sleeping toddler up to bed, and the house is still in Home mode. Putting the child down to reach for a phone is how they wake.

What jupyter does. Switch to Night from your wrist without putting anyone down. Heading away for the weekend instead? Start the sounds of a lived-in home from the watch before you walk out the door.

At a glance

Know the moment the alarm sounds, and how long it will run.

When an alarm is sounding, the watch shows it, with the time it has left to run. Wherever you are, you know what is happening and how long it will go on, rather than being left to wonder.

The alarm, and the time it has left.

Ask Beta

Ask how the day went, and hear the answer.

Raise your wrist and ask VoiceAI. Did the courier come? Was anyone at the back door last night? It answers out loud, and in text. Voice and AI answers are part of Helios Pro, the watch version is in beta, and, like any AI, it can make mistakes, so check anything important for yourself.
